DescriptionIn this letter Elizabeth Cash remarks on the forthcoming marriage of her daughter Caroline Cash, Elizabeth's and Margaret's aunt Carrie, to George Barrow of Birmingham. She refers to the girls' experiences of schooling and growing up, remarking on the central importance of religious faith as guidance in their lives and reflecting her concern that they were 'so far from dear Home influences'. Elizabeth Cash also comments on the importance of the girls obeying the rules at their school in Saxe-Meiningen. The letter includes a long account of the presents given to Caroline Cash on the occasion of her wedding, including gifts from the girls' brothers and sisters. Elizabeth Cash remarks how much she would miss her daughter when she moved to Birmingham and comments on arrangements to accommodate over forty wedding guests at Rose Cottage.
