DescriptionMargaret Taylor describes recent family activities in this letter which includes a long passage written in German. Margaret sympathises with Elizabeth who was suffering from mumps whilst at school in Saxe-Meiningen. Much of the letter relates to an account of Margaret's visit to the Victoria Docks with her cousin Bessie Reed. She also remarks on a trip to see William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' performed at the Crystal Palace and some new music which the girls' father had recently purchased.
