DescriptionMargaret Taylor begins this letter with an account of recent family activities. She remarks that she had visited the home of George Sturge with some friends where she had seen some interesting photographs and been given a cucumber by Mrs. Sturge. Margaret also describes a game of 'quartetts' which she had been involved in and refers to recent family news including visits to relatives. Margaret remarks on the girls' baby brother John Augustine and provides an account of some lectures which she had attended. She concludes the letter noting her excitement at the forthcoming Handel festival.

A brief passage written by Elizabeth Taylor's mother Mary Jane Taylor features at the end of this letter which remarks on Elizabeth's recent school trip and the anniversary of the death of her great-uncle Samuel Lucas. Mary Taylor also provides a brief account of other family members.
