| Description | In this letter Robert Bird remarks on having read Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's address in the Quaker journal 'The Friend'. He praises Taylor Cadbury's 'practical, persuasive, and human' line of thought, commenting that it would 'touch many hearts, that do not respond to popular theology'. Bird originally enclosed a copy of his book 'Jesus, the Carpenter of Nazareth' with this letter which he remarks was to be used 'by way of religious instruction in Native Mission day Schools in Natal.' |
