DescriptionFollowing her broadcast for the BBC's Sunday Evening Service, Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury received a large number of letters responding to her address, many thanking her and remarking on the spiritual inspiration which the broadcast had given to them. Taylor Cadbury also received a number of letters criticising her religious views and also letters requesting to feature her address in various publications. This correspondence reveals the impact of wireless broadcasting during this period and reflects contemporary religious views. Many of the letters feature pencil annotations providing details about the replies sent out by Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury and her personal secretaries, some of which are featured amongst this collection of letters.

A number of letters, particularly those from family and friends, refer to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's ill health, remarking on the series of operations which she was undergoing to relieve sinus problems.
