| Description | In this chapter Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury provides a detailed account of her interest in and study of music from her schooling in Germany during the early 1870s to the present day. Taylor Cadbury refers to the Handel Festivals at the Crystal Palace in London and her attendance at the Guildhall School of Music for singing lessons. She also remarks on her experiences of music in Birmingham following her marriage to George Cadbury in 1888. Taylor Cadbury refers specifically to the Birmingham Festival Choral Society, Birmingham City Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Choir, remarking that she had served as President of the Choir and was a member of the Board of Management for the City's Orchestra.
