| AdminHistory | In 1936 Lady Edna Gowan, the President of the Central College for Women in Nagpur, issued an appeal for money to establish a scholarship which would enable girls from the Friends' School in Sohagpur to continue their education at the Central College. Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury responded to Lady Gowan's appeal and, following her visit to schools and hospitals established by the Friends' Service Council in India, donated money for the scholarship. |
