| Description | Margaret A. Backhouse wrote again to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury shortly after sending her a copy of the Friends' Service Council appeal. In this letter she informs Taylor Cadbury that, owing to the urgency of the situation, it was possible that the appeal would appear in 'The Times' without her being named as a signatory. Backhouse apologises to Taylor Cadbury for this oversight. However, a pencil annotation dated 24th October 1947 added to the letter by Taylor Cadbury reads 'all well - letter in "Times" today with my signature'. |
