| Description | This small leatherette covered volume is a Walker's diary for the year 1897. The front pages of the diary feature a calendar which has been annotated with ink and pencil lines in some places. The diary includes daily entries written by Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury in ink or pencil. These entries vary in length and detail. Each page features a box entitled 'memo' which has been used by Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury in places to continue details relating to daily events. A number of paper markers feature throughout the diary, one of which is marked with the words 'Vienna Pressbury' enclosed between pages dated 7th-13th November. Subsequent pages at the back of the diary intended for the inclusion of memoranda or financial details have been left blank except for the first page of memoranda which had been used by Taylor Cadbury to record additional details relating to entries for 26th and 29th December. |
