| Description | This small leatherette covered volume is a Walker's diary for the year 1898. The front pages of the diary feature a calendar. A number of these pages have been cut from the diary. The volume also includes a number of pages for memoranda, one of which features some brief notes written in Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's hand entitled 'Hints for Cooking'.
The diary includes daily entries written by Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury in ink or pencil. Each page features a box entitled 'memo' which has been used by Taylor Cadbury to continue details relating to daily events or left blank. The pages dated 13th November 1898-19th November 1998 are also left blank and appear to have been accidentally overlooked by Taylor Cadbury. She has re-dated subsequent pages accordingly and continued her diary for the last week of December 1898 on to additional pages marked 'Memoranda' which feature at the back of the diary. Subsequent pages intended for the inclusion of memoranda or details relating to cash accounts have been left blank. |
