DescriptionMary Taylor thanks Elizabeth Taylor for her recent letters and refers to her daughter's visit to relatives at Norton. She comments on Elizabeth helping at a Friends' school and singing to some elderly women at the local Alms Houses.

Mary Taylor also remarks on the bad weather in Peckham and a visit by a woman called Annie Clark. She includes accounts of recent family activities including trips to Croydon and Birmingham and forthcoming philanthropic work. She writes that Elizabeth's brother Wilfrid (Willie) had given a lecture about circulation to nurses and matrons at a local hospital about circulation which he had illustrated with two hearts. She adds 'I understand a cat prowled under Willy's chair & nearly got the hearts'.

Mary Taylor also remarks on the ill health of Elizabeth aunt Rose and provides a detailed account of a recent trip to Belfast with her husband John Taylor, describing a visit to the Giant's Causeway and a scenic carriage ride. She also comments on the disagreeable guests at their hotel who had insisted on drinking spirits. Mary Taylor concludes her letter with a description of one of the men who had driven their carriage during their stay in Ireland, remarking that he was 'a fierce young Irish fellow' opposed to English dominion. She also adds a brief account of a visit to a convalescent hospital.
