DescriptionThis letter was written by Elizabeth Taylor shortly before she returned home to England from her tour of Switzerland. She refers to her mother suffering from a bad cold and remarks that she hoped some of her family would be back home in Peckham from their holiday in Sandown to greet her on her return.

Elizabeth Taylor provides an account of her party's visit Arola where she had seen an impressive glacier. She also refers to her journey back through Switzerland, across the Lake of Geneva, remarking that her party had stopped in Lausanne and Neuchatel where they had found a coffee shop run by the Swiss Temperance Society. Elizabeth concludes her letter with an account of travelling plans for her return home the following day.
