DescriptionWriting from Brussels, Howard Taylor remarks on the date of his letter being 5th November, Guy Fawkes Night, writing that it was quite peaceful in Brussels 'away from all the little boys who make life hideous on this day anywhere in the empire'. Taylor remarks on his recent social activities, including a visit to the Cathedral in Antwerp and provides a detailed description of an exhibition held to celebrate the centenary of the Belgian railways. He also comments on public opinion of England in Belgium, writing 'Belgium has hardened considerably against England as they feel that England is dragging the rest of the world into war!' Taylor concludes his letter by remarking on his plans to visit Paris before travelling to Africa via Marseilles. He also refers briefly to his fond memories of visiting Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury at the Manor House.
