DescriptionGeorge Cadbury begins this letter noting that he was sat on a deckchair on the ship's deck. He describes his French and English travelling companions before providing an account of the couple's recent activities, remarking that they had sat on the veranda at their hotel which overlooked one of the busiest streets in Cairo. Both George and Elizabeth Cadbury comment on a visit to a museum which contained mummies. Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury continues the letter providing a detailed account of the Mosques which the couple had visited. She also remarks on a visit to an ostrich farm and the couple's experiences travelling across the Nile to Rhode Island, commenting on various Christian and Muslim religious sites.
