| Level | Item |
| Date | February 1952 |
| Description | 'Women in Council' was the journal of the National Council of Women in Great Britain. Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury had been involved with the Council and later the International Council of Women since 1896. This edition of the magazine features a printed version of a tribute to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury which was delivered by Mrs. Emmeline Cadbury at the Council's Executive Meeting in December 1951.
In her tribute Emmeline Cadbury remarks that the Cadbury family had lost their 'centre', commenting that 'the Bournville Village community' had been very dear to Taylor Cadbury who 'longed that it might present an ideal of family and community life, centred in a deep spiritual love'. She also refers to Taylor Cadbury's activities in the day on which she died and concludes her article paying tribute to Taylor Cadbury's 'wonderful vigorous life'. |
