| Description | This section contains papers relating to the death of Dame Henrietta Barnett on 10th June 1936, aged 85. These papers were sent to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury by Dame Barnett's personal secretary Marion Paterson. They include a covering letter sent by Paterson alongside a copy of the form of service for Dame Barnett's funeral which was held at the Church of St. Jude's-on-the-Hill in Hampstead Garden Suburb on 15th July 1936. A copy of the address delivered by the Archbishop of Canterbury at this service and a document produced in memory of Dame Barnett featuring illustrations are also included. Following Dame Henrietta Barnett's death, Marion Paterson sent a number of letters to Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury which are also featured in this section. These letters refer to Dame Barnett's funeral and bequests made to Taylor Cadbury and her family in Barnett's will. |
