| AdminHistory | Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury was associated with Henry Wilson Harris (1883-1955), editor of 'The Spectator' and his wife Florence through their many mutual acquaintances. Born into a devout Quaker family, Henry Wilson Harris was the nephew of Dr. Rendel Harris who was the first Principal and Director of Studies at Woodbrooke. In addition, Harris had also worked on George Cadbury's newspaper the 'Daily News' under the leadership of editor A. G. Gardiner who became George Cadbury's biographer following his death in 1922. Like Taylor Cadbury, Harris was involved with international peace work, campaigning for improved international relations and supporting the League of Nations. |
