| Description | This booklet describes the work of Miss Agnes Hedenstrom and the Scandinavian Sailors' Temperance Home. The booklet contains stories about desperate sailors who had been helped by the Home and includes sections promoting the positive influence of the Home on the daily experiences and spiritual life of Scandinavian sailors. Extracts from letters written by sailors about the Home are also included, and a picture of the Temperance Home is shown on the back cover of the booklet. The final pages of the booklet feature an address written by Agnes Hedenstrom describing her interpretation of Christianity as a faith manifested in practical philanthropic work. |
