Lowell and Christina Rossetti, as well as short extracts from works by John Ruskin and William Shakespeare. Works by friends and colleagues of Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury including Dr. Rendel Harris, the first Director of Studies at Woodbrooke Quaker College, and the Bishop of Birmingham are also featured.
The final pages of the book include a number of notes made by Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury entitled 'Florence Tues. Feb. 5. 1895', suggesting that they were written during her visit to Florence in February 1895. The notes describe the monuments and artefacts which Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury encountered on her visit including a list of exhibits which she had seen at a museum. |
