Hannah Cadbury describes 'the approval and thankfulness' of Taylor Cadbury's friends 'that God had given thee such a gift', expressing her hope that her cousin's ministry would continue with 'fuller & wider measure'. Hannah Cadbury concludes her letter by suggesting that Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury might be guided by the Holy Spirit to attend Quaker Meeting at Bull Street and George Road.

AdminHistoryHannah Cadbury (1830-1904) was the daughter of Benjamin Head Cadbury (1798-1880) and his wife Candia Wadkin Cadbury (1803-1887). Benjamin Head Cadbury was the elder brother of George Cadbury's father John Cadbury (1801-1889). Hannah Cadbury was actively involved in philanthropic work in Birmingham throughout her life, serving as an adult school teacher and Guardian of the Poor. Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's family journal letter dated 23rd September 1904 describes the death and funeral of Hannah Cadbury, reflecting her significance within the city.
