| Description | This section contains papers relating to the history of the Religious Society of Friends in Bournville and the surrounding district. The correspondence and documents featured here relate to enquiries which Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury made during 1937 in order to collect material for an address which she was writing about the history and development of Quaker meetings for worship in Bournville, Northfield, Stirchley, Cotteridge and Selly Oak. The papers include references to the village institutes in Northfield and Selly Oak which were built by Taylor Cadbury's husband George Cadbury between 1892 and 1894. |
