| Description | In this correspondence John Henry Lloyd remarks on Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's letter which had recently appeared in 'The Friend'. He comments on the debate between physical union and co-operation amongst Christian churches, suggesting that given the diversity of religious thought 'it is best for all to be loyal soldiers in their own company', adding that 'there are many paths to heaven'. Lloyd concludes his letter suggesting that this was 'far better' than 'a constant struggle' to get the Society of Friends 'into a particular ringfence'. |
