LevelItem
Date1931
DescriptionMounted black and white group photograph showing Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury and the sons and daughters of George Cadbury and his brother Richard Cadbruy (1835-1899). Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury can be seen sitting in the middle of the front row. The people shown in the image are as follows:

Back row, left to right: Mrs. Beatrice Boeke, Mrs. Margaret Bradley, Mrs. Helen Alexander, Major Egbert Cadbury, Mrs. Marion Janet Greeves, Mrs. Ursula Lambert.

Middle row, left to right: William A. Cadbury, Mrs. Edith Butler, Mrs. E. Crosfield, Laurence J. Cadbury, Norman Cadbury, Mrs. Dorothea Hoyland.

Front row, left to right: Richard Cadbury (junior), Mrs. Jessie Clark(e), Barrow Cadbury, Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury, Edward Cadbury, George Cadbury (junior), Henry T. Cadbury, Mrs. Isobel Wilson.

Given the date of the photograph, it is likely that it was taken on the occasion of the family gathering held to celebrate the centenary anniversary of Cadbury in September 1931. This celebration commemorated one hundred years of success since John Cadbury (1801-1889) began manufacturing chocolate products in 1831.
