The firm, which continued in business until 1963, offered fashionable portrait photographs to wealthy clients and has been described as 'one of the most important in the history of studio portraiture in London'. Elliot & Fry employed photographers including Francis Henry Hart and Alfred James Philpott during the late Victorian and early Edwardian period.
