| Description | This section contains photographs of Quaker philanthropist Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury (1858-1951), the second wife of Quaker businessman and housing reformer George Cadbury (1839-1922). The photographs in this section provide a visual biography of Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's life and achievements with many images illustrating her involvement with philanthropic work in Bournville and Birmingham during the early twentieth century.
The section includes a number of portrait photographs of Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury as a young woman and later photographs taken on birthdays throughout her life. Photographs of Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's relatives such as her parents John and Mary Jane Taylor and maternal grandmother Elizabeth Pettifer Lucas Cash are also featured. The photographs also record Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's participation in King George V's Royal Visit to Bournville in 1919 and reflect her involvement with prominent local figures such as Sir Adrian Boult. The final images in this section show the floral tributes which were displayed at Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's memorial service, commemorating her long and active life and reflecting her close association with Bournville.
